What Happens During a Home Euthanasia Appointment?
Our goal is to make the process as peaceful and gentle as possible.
After arriving at your home, we will spend time discussing any questions or concerns you may have. There is no need to rush.
Most pets receive a sedative beforehand so they become relaxed and sleepy. This helps ensure they are comfortable and free from anxiety and requires a small quick injection under the skin. We then gently place an IV catheter and bandage it in safely.
Once your pet is resting peacefully or is feeling more relaxed, a final injection is administered. This medication allows them to pass away quietly and painlessly.
You are welcome to hold or cuddle your pet during this final stage as pets feel more secure and safe with their loved ones.
Can My Family Be Present?
Absolutely.
Family members, including children if appropriate, are welcome to be present. Other household pets may also be allowed to say goodbye if you feel this would be beneficial.
Every family chooses to approach this moment differently, and we will support your wishes wherever possible.

We can discuss aftercare options before the appointment, including:

Individual cremation
